Sweet Potato Hummus with Pita

  • Makes about 6 servings

What you'll need

  • ½ sweet potato

  • ½ cup chickpeas

  • ¼ cup whole milk yogurt

  • ¼ tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

How to make it

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F
  2. Scrub sweet potato and pierce with fork on all sides. Place on parchment lined baking sheet and bake for about 30-40 minutes, or until fully cooked.
  3. Rinse and drain chickpeas from can.
  4. Place cooked sweet potato and chickpeas with all other ingredients into a food processor and blend until there are no lumps.
  5. For older babies or tots serve with whole grain “finger toast” or pita.
