Farming for our Future

Organic has been the foundation of our approach to sustainable agriculture and we constantly look for opportunities to do more. In 2018 we launched Project Greenhouse, our farmer education program, to help some of our closest partners incorporate regenerative farming practices on their land. Regenerative takes farming back to its roots – using time-honored methods that improve soil health, conserve water, and restore ecosystems. The result is more productive farmland that helps fight climate change by pulling carbon out of the air and trapping it in the soil.
We are proud to share our progress as we take action against our 2025 commitments:
  • We’ve partnered with Renew Oceans, sponsoring a machine that turns plastic collected from rivers into valuable energy sources for communities in India.Learn more about how we’re protecting our oceans from plastic pollution.
  • We’ve made our Puffs bottles easier to recycle by adding a perforation strip – just tear and discard the outer film and recycle the canister!
  • We downsized our Yogi’s packaging, eliminating 210,000 lbs of material annually, and reducing greenhouse gases by 13%.

Our Packaging Promise

We’ve made sustainable packaging our priority. By 2025, 100% of our packaging will be reusable, recyclable, or compostable. To bring this to life, we have committed to three priority areas:

Our Commitment to Sustainability

Our commitment to a better tomorrow is what drives our business – we constantly innovate to make our packaging as eco-friendly as possible, we advocate for change on a global scale working with lawmakers and environmental organizations to stop plastics from reaching our oceans, and we partner with farmers that are at the forefront of sustainable agriculture, putting farmer education programs into place that go beyond organic practices.

Innovating through Packaging

Pouches currently cannot be recycled, and it will require systemic change on a global scale – we’re innovating, partnering, and advocating to develop the infrastructure needed to recycle this type of packaging and to keep plastic out of landfills and oceans.
