Senior Manager, Marketing CommunicationsNew York, NY The Job: Happy Family Organics is looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Marketing Communications to report into our VP of Marketing and manage our External Communications & Campaigns team. In this position, you will partner to develop, socialize and implement integrated and strategic Masterbrand and product-focused digital-first campaigns that build brand awareness, love, and loyalty, and strengthen our market leadership position. We are nimble, scrappy, and fast paced, and strongly driven to effectively communicate our mission to parents in a way that is meaningful and relevant. You will work closely with our product innovation team, internal and external creative teams, in-house paid media team, sustainability & CSR/mission leads to tell our story across owned, earned, and paid channels. Key Responsibilities: Leads management of External Communications & Campaigns team with ownership of: Storytelling: identify creative ways to tell the Happy Family Organics story and amplify key initiatives/product launches across a variety of channels and methods including earned media, social media, partnerships, and new asset development – partner with Director of Digital Marketing on “where & when” PR Strategy & Agency Management: develops earned media strategy with agency that compliments overall marketing strategy, observes current news cycle and find ways to leverage cultural relevance to uncover opportunities, proactively develop, maintain, and strengthen media relationships alongside agency Social Media & Influencer/Blogger Strategy: drive social strategy, campaigns & content execution with internal team leveraging best practices. Identify, build, grow and nurture relationships with influential bloggers. Brand Partnerships Lead: identify partners & oversee execution of programs with the team Email Strategy & Execution: hands-on management of email marketing program, including content strategy, planning, and creative briefing, working alongside email service provider on testing strategy, set up, Q/A, deployment, reporting and optimization Brand Planning – design annual marketing plans, delivering against key marketing objectives, and aligning with internal stakeholders and cross-functional parties Manages and mentors team of 3-4 direct reports Serves as brand steward ensuring all consumer communications are consistent with brand purpose, brand priorities and guardrails Develops & manages marketing budget and tracks all expenses monthly Measures and optimizes communications programs to drive efficiency Works cross-functionally with innovation/product development, creative, brand voice, paid media, web, mission/CSR, sustainability, shopper marketing teams to develop and maintain the communication calendar to guide development of integrated campaigns. Qualifications: 5-10 years marketing communications experience, either with an advertising, PR, social media agency or on the client side 4+ years experience working in integrated marketing communications for a branded consumer packaged goods company strongly preferred Proven experience in creating and executing successful consumer-driven PR and social media campaigns, experience in purpose-driven marketing strongly desired Experience in a high-growth and fast-paced environment Experience connecting business strategy and communication strategy; strong existing media and influencer network. Emphasis on food, parenting, lifestyle publications preferred.
