Our jars are preserved by heat and pH control. The purees are cooked to a target temperature to kill microbiological growth, then ingredients like lemon juice concentrate and/or ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) are added to lower the pH of the purees to a food safe range.

If you have not spoon-fed directly from the jar, you may save the remaining puree in the refrigerator for up to 3 days*. If you have spoon-fed directly from the jar, then you should not save the remaining puree because this could introduce bacteria from your little one’s mouth into the jar, which could cause bacterial contamination and growth. If you do not think your little one will consume an entire jar in one feeding, we suggest pouring a smaller quantity of the puree into a separate bowl.

*The Sweet Potato flavor must be used within 2 days.

Yes! The jars can be microwaved. Since the lid is metal, make sure you remove it prior to microwaving. Additionally, make sure to stir and test the temperature prior to feeding to your little one, as the contents may be hot.
